"Avatar: The Way of Water" is a 2022 American science fiction film directed by James Cameron and co-written with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, incorporating contributions from Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno. This film serves as a sequel to the 2009 movie "Avatar" and marks the second chapter in the "Avatar" series. The cast includes returning actors Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, and Matt Gerald, with Sigourney Weaver in a new role. Newcomers Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Trinity Bliss, Jamie Flatters, Britain Dalton, and Jack Champion also join the ensemble. The plot centers on Jake Sully, portrayed by Worthington, a blue-skinned humanoid Na'vi. He and his family face threats from humans and seek shelter among Pandora's aquatic Metkayina clan.
