Jack is frustrated when a business offer from Kit to Erica interrupts their planning for the wedding yet again. This time, Jack says he doesn't want to live like that anymore. JR learns of Dixie and Tad getting engaged and congratulates them, then announces that he's decided to leave town. Dixie helps him see AJ one last time.
